Petrobras informed last night (30/09) in a material fact, that Imetame Energia finalized for almost 10 million dollars the purchase of its entire stake in the onshore fields of Polo Lagoa Parda, located in the state of Espírito Santo, close to the municipality from Linhares. In the statement, the state-owned company says that “After fulfilling the conditions precedent, the operation was concluded with the payment of US$ 9.441.586,10 to Petrobras, already with the adjustments provided for in the contract. The amount received at closing is added to the amount of US$ 1.405.869,90 paid to Petrobras upon signing the sales contract.”
According to the Operational Director of Imetame, Giuliano Favalessa, Petrobras' divestments bring to the industry, especially onshore, expectations with new business opportunities that are important from an economic and social point of view. "New companies can assume these assets with more flexibility and vision of development, in addition to new suppliers and service providers".

For Ana Paula Saraiva, Executive Manager of Portfolio Management at Petrobras, the closing of Lagoa Parda, in Espírito Santo, is of great importance for the company. “Portfolio management is focused on the future of Petrobras, making it even stronger and more resilient. With the sale of the fields at the Lagoa Parda hub, we are taking another step in our strategy of focusing resources on more profitable assets for the company”.
“This operation is in line with the portfolio optimization strategy and the improvement of the company's capital allocation, starting to increasingly concentrate its resources on world-class assets in deep and ultra-deep waters, where Petrobras has demonstrated a great differential competitive over the years”, says the state-owned company.
About the Polo Lagoa Parda onshore fields
The Polo Lagoa Parda, in Espírito Santo, comprises three onshore concessions in production: Lagoa Parda, Lagoa Parda Norte and Lagoa Piabanha. Petrobras is the operator with a 100% stake in the three fields.
From January to August of this year, the average production of the onshore fields was approximately 113,5 barrels of oil per day (bpd) and 1,7 thousand m3/day of natural gas.
