The second version continues with the same engine, while the AWD features a second 95 horsepower motor at the rear wheel. As mentioned earlier, Kia will also have a sporty and powerful version called GT, but it has not disclosed information about it.
According to Spencer Cho, head of the global business planning division, the Kia EV5 is not only the next addition to the brand’s rapidly expanding electric car lineup but also the embodiment of how it will accelerate the electric vehicle revolution. For the company, it is the perfect representation of its future electric vehicle strategy and its commitment to driving the global transition to electric cars.
New Kia Electric Car More Affordable
In September, the automaker took a significant step with the Ray EV electric car, its new launch. This innovative vehicle was recently revealed, only in the local market, yet it certainly caught the attention of the global automotive sector with its affordable price of less than 20,000 euros and the promise of being a compact yet spacious car. The Kia Ray EV is not a complete debut, as it is derived from the original gasoline version sold since 2011.
Nonetheless, the electric car has been completely reworked to meet the growing demand for zero-emission vehicles. Measuring 3.59 meters in length and 1.7 meters in height, the Kia Ray EV proves to be practical for tight urban environments while also offering versatile interior space.
