Mercado Livre’s Plans With Sustainable Trucks
The new gas-powered trucks – Biometano and CNG – emit fewer pollutants compared to traditional diesel trucks, reducing the environmental impact of Mercado Livre’s logistics network, which is expanding rapidly in various regions. The trucks powered by biometano and CNG will add to the 51 electric vehicles the company has been operating since December of last year, making Mercado Livre’s journey toward greener logistics increasingly shorter.
The new gas-powered trucks – Biometano and CNG – will initially serve the southern and southeastern parts of Brazil; however, the goal is to take the vehicles to all regions of the country. To make this possible, Mercado Livre is monitoring the availability of biometano and CNG at gas stations along the main highways, facilitating the expansion of the company’s logistics routes.
