Vibra Energia in partnership with Copersucar, one of the largest ethanol producers in Brazil, are creating a new ethanol trading company. The new company was developed with an initial handling of nine billion liters and projects a turnover of R$ 30 billion in its first year. According to the president of Vibra Energia, Wilson Ferreira Júnior, the joint venture, which still does not have a name, will receive investments of R$ 450 million in the beginning and will benefit all sides, including end consumers.

According to the contract, Vibra will pay R$ 5 million to Copersucar for 49,99% of the new company's share capital, the remaining 50,01% will belong to Copersucar. According to Ferreira Júnior, the creation of the Ethanol trader is a big step towards the transition from an energy company.
Vibra Energia's goal is to become a company that develops fuels in the energy transition market, so the company is partnering with the largest biofuel producer in Brazil. According to the president of Copersucar, Roberto Teixeira, the new company, which will benefit both companies and consumers, will operate mainly in the Brazilian market.
The presidents also stated that from the nine billion liters, a percentage of 10% to 20% of the ethanol can be exported, depending on prices. Roberto pointed out that 100% of the ethanol distributed by the new trading company will be purchased by Copersucar. The trader will bring benefits to all companies and even end consumers.
18 billion liters of additional ethanol on the market
According to the director of Vibra Energia, Marcelo Bragança, who also participated in the online press conference, the new company will be able to capture a large part of the growth in the fuel market by 2030.
The director pointed out that hydrated ethanol grows 4% per year. Anhydrous, which is mixed with gasoline, grows 1 to 2% per year. According to him, by 2030, there will be more than 18 billion additional liters on the Brazilian market.
The trader, which is the result of a new partnership between giants in the biofuel market, is born with the potential to capture a large part of the fuel's growth.
Vibra Energia celebrates a memorandum of understanding with Prisma Capital
This Monday (30th), in addition to the partnership with Copersucar, Vibra also communicated that it signed a memorandum of understanding with Prisma Capital for the creation of a real estate investment fund that will receive all gas stations that have the Petrobras flag.
The operation includes the management and contribution of a portfolio of up to 238 properties, which are valued at R$643,8 million. Monetization will have three stages. The first with the contribution of real estate by the company in the fund and the acquisition of 15% of the quotas by Prisma. Soon after with the sale to the operators of the current fuel stations and finally, the listing of the fund in the market and offer to the general public and investors.
