Vibra Energia, in partnership with Copersucar, one of the largest ethanol producers in Brazil, is creating a new ethanol trading company. The new company was developed with an initial volume of nine billion liters and projects a revenue of R$ 30 billion in its first year. According to Vibra Energia’s president, Wilson Ferreira Júnior, the joint venture, which does not yet have a name, will receive investments of R$ 450 million at the outset and will benefit all parties, including end consumers.

18 Billion Liters of Additional Ethanol in the Market
According to Vibra Energia’s director, Marcelo Bragança, who also participated in the online briefing, the new company will be able to capture a significant part of the fuel market’s growth until 2030.
The director emphasized that hydrated ethanol grows by 4% per year. Meanwhile, anhydrous ethanol, which is mixed with gasoline, grows by 1% to 2% per year. According to him, by 2030, there will be more than 18 billion additional liters in the Brazilian market.
The trading company, born from a new partnership between giants in the biofuels market, has the potential to capture a significant part of the fuel’s growth.
Vibra Energia Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Prisma Capital
On Monday (30), in addition to the partnership with Copersucar, Vibra also announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Prisma Capital for the creation of a real estate investment fund that will receive all the stations that have the Petrobras brand.
The operation includes the management and investment in a portfolio of up to 238 properties, which are valued at R$ 643.8 million. The monetization will occur in three phases. The first involves the contribution of the properties by the company to the fund and the acquisition of 15% of the shares by Prisma. Immediately after, the sale to the operators of the current fuel stations will take place, and finally, the listing of the fund on the market and offering to the general public and investors.
