Dacia, known for manufacturing affordable models without compromising quality, will play a crucial role in this process.
The brand is already working on developing adaptable platforms for low-cost electric vehicles, which may accelerate production and reduce the final price.
Price of Renault’s New Electric Car
Although the name and technical specifications have not yet been released, there is already a price estimate.
The CEO of Renault revealed that the car will cost less than 18,000 euros — equivalent to about R$ 107.4 thousand, in direct conversion, excluding taxes and fees.
If this projection holds true, the new Renault will be cheaper than the BYD Dolphin Mini, which is priced between R$ 115.8 thousand and R$ 119.8 thousand in Brazil, depending on the version.
This difference could make the Renault model an even more attractive alternative for consumers interested in electric mobility.
Despite this, it is important to consider that import costs, taxes, and local fees may impact the final price in Brazil.
Still, if Renault can maintain a competitive price, it could shake up the market and attract a larger audience to electric vehicles.
Expected Technology and Range
Although technical details have not yet been revealed, experts speculate that Renault’s new electric car will feature a efficient battery and a low-consumption motor, ensuring competitive range.
Currently, the Kwid E-Tech has a range of about 185 km in the official Inmetro cycle. The BYD Dolphin Mini offers up to 280 km of range, depending on the version.
To stand out, the new Renault model will need to offer a similar or greater range.

Só mais uma promessa para convencer as pessoas a não comprarem carros chineses. A Toyota está assim há cinco anos, só prometendo, sem lançar nada que realmente concorra com a China. As montadoras estão desesperadas com o crescimento das fabricantes chinesas e agora recorrem até à mídia para tentar, sem sucesso, barrar as vendas da China. Felizmente, não conseguiram.
Antes da Byd chegar no Brasil, o kwid elétrico era vendido por 147 mil reais e não entregava nada de mais carro **** e com pouca tecnologia. Tiveram que abaixar o valor para 100 mil e continua não vendendo kkk
