A State in the Northeast Announced the Opening of a New Certification for Civil Police Delegate, Offering 100 Positions and an Initial Salary of R$ 22,165.53, Attracting Great Interest from Candidates in the Legal and Security Fields.

A new contest for Civil Police Delegate was announced by a state in the Northeast, offering 100 positions for the role. With an initial salary of R$ 22,165.53, the selection attracts candidates from all over the country looking for a career in public service.

The Government of Ceará announced, this Friday (14), the opening of the contest for Civil Police Delegate of the State (PCCE).

The official announcement was published in the State Official Gazette and is available through this link. There are 100 positions for the role, with an initial salary of R$ 22,165.53.

Official Announcement and Objectives

The governor Elmano de Freitas highlighted the importance of the contest to strengthen security in the state.

According to him, the PCCE has achieved significant results in combating organized crime. “We are conducting a contest for 100 positions for delegates of this important institution that has recently made significant arrests and investigations in the fight against organized crime in Ceará,” he commented.

The Secretary of Public Security, Roberto Sá, reinforced the government’s commitment to strengthening security institutions. He emphasized that expanding the ranks of the PCCE directly contributes to the peace and tranquility of the population.

I want to thank and congratulate the Government of Ceará for this strategic decision, which is very important to strengthen the security forces and their institutions, so that we can effectively confront crime and increasingly seek to provide tranquility and peace to the people of Ceará,” he pointed out.

Contest Details

The position of PCCE delegate has a workload of 30 hours per week. Of the total positions, 75 are for open competition, five for candidates with disabilities, and 20 are allocated for Black and Brown candidates.

Applications will be open from March 28 to April 11, from 10 AM on the first day to 6 PM on the last day, on the Cebraspe website, the institution responsible for conducting the contest.

The PCCE General Delegate, Márcio Gutierrez, highlighted that the arrival of new delegates is part of a restructuring recently approved by the Legislative Assembly of Ceará. “We will have new police stations, new departments, and an expanded operational capacity,” he explained.

Reserve Registration and Requirements

In addition to the immediate positions, the contest provides for a reserve list with 200 positions, distributed as follows:

  • 150 for open competition;
  • 10 for candidates with disabilities;
  • 40 for Black and Brown candidates.

To apply for the position, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Law recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and prove three years of legal activity or three years of service in a police position in public security agencies, according to Normative Instruction No. 02/2025 of the PCCE General Delegation.

Contest Stages

The selection process will have six phases:

  1. Objective Test (eliminatory and classificatory);
  2. Discursive Tests (eliminatory and classificatory);
  3. Physical Aptitude Test (eliminatory);
  4. Psychological Evaluation (eliminatory);
  5. Oral Test (eliminatory and classificatory);
  6. Title Test (classificatory).

The organization of the contest will also involve the participation of the Brazilian Bar Association – Ceará Section (OAB-CE) in all phases of the process.

With the opening of this contest, the Government of Ceará reinforces its commitment to public safety and expands opportunities for professionals who wish to join the Civil Police.
