Navy contest expands technical performance in strategic sectors
The new contest reinforces the technological modernization process of the Navy. Those approved will work in essential areas for the operation of submarines, electrical systems, and naval propulsion equipment.
The opportunities are divided into two main areas:
- Electronics
- Mechanics
In the Electronics area, the vacancies cover the specialty of Control and Electricity Systems. In the Mechanics area, candidates can work in Engines and Machine and Propulsion Systems.
The Technical Board of Navy Squares plays an important role within the Brazilian naval structure, especially in activities related to technical maintenance and operation of complex systems used by the military force.
Technical Framework of Navy Enlisted Requires Specific Technical Training
The Navy announcement accepts candidates with various mid-level technical courses. The requirement varies according to the area chosen by the participant.
Accepted trainings include:
- Industrial Automation
- Electroelectronics
- Mechatronics
- Electromechanics
- Mechanics
- Automotive Maintenance
- Naval Mechanics
- Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- Industrial Machinery Maintenance
In addition to technical training, the candidate must have registration with the regulatory body of the profession corresponding to the chosen area.
The Navy vacancies also require that the participant be between 18 and under 25 years old by June 30, 2027. The announcement also establishes a minimum height of 1.54 meters and a maximum of 2 meters.
How the Competition Works and Which Stages Eliminate Candidates
The competition will consist of several eliminatory and classificatory stages. The first phase will have an objective test with 50 specific questions from the chosen technical area, in addition to an essay.
The assessments will be applied on September 13 and will have a total duration of four hours.
After the written test, candidates will also undergo:
- Physical aptitude test
- Health inspection
- Psychological evaluation
- Document verification
- Biographical data analysis
According to the Navy itself, the purpose of these stages is to select professionals prepared to operate in highly technical and operational military environments.
Military training includes course at CIAA and submarine training
Those approved in the competition will begin the Adaptation Period and the Sergeant Training Course (C-FSG) at the Admiral Alexandrino Instruction Center (CIAA) in Rio de Janeiro.
During the training, students receive an initial gross remuneration of R$ 1,544.62, in addition to benefits such as meals, uniforms, and medical assistance. After this stage, the military personnel are promoted to the rank of Third Sergeant and proceed to the Submarine Subspecialization Course.
The training takes place at the Admiral Áttila Monteiro Aché Instruction and Training Center (CIAMA) and lasts approximately 24 weeks. The specialized training allows direct involvement in submarine operations and sectors related to the Brazilian naval force’s nuclear facilities.
Navy positions offer stability and growth opportunities
In addition to technical specialization, the Navy positions attract attention for professional stability and the possibility of progression in the military career.
The military personnel can eventually reach the rank of Warrant Officer, one of the most important within the Navy’s enlisted career.
Another advantage is access to technological areas rarely available in the civilian market. The Technical Board of the Navy operates in sectors considered strategic for the functioning of Brazilian maritime defense.
This professional experience also enhances the technical training level of the military personnel trained by the institution.
Brazilian naval defense accelerates modernization with new investments
The opening of the new competition occurs amid the strengthening of Brazilian naval infrastructure. In recent years, the Navy has expanded projects related to maritime protection, ocean monitoring, and submarine development.
A large part of these initiatives is associated with the protection of the so-called Blue Amazon, a strategic maritime region for the country’s economy and sovereignty.
As a result, there is also a growing need for technical professionals specialized in propulsion systems, engines, electrical control, and naval maintenance.
The new opportunities in the Technical Board of the Navy precisely reflect this movement of technological expansion of Brazilian defense.
Opportunity places candidates in one of the most strategic areas of defense
The new competition of the Navy represents a rare opportunity for technical level candidates who wish to work in highly specialized areas of national defense.
In addition to free training, those approved will have access to advanced training, remuneration during the course, and participation in operations related to Brazilian submarine infrastructure and nuclear facilities.
The Navy positions reinforce the technological advancement of the naval force and show how technical training is becoming increasingly important within the country’s military modernization strategies.
