Grupo Nova Era, which is one of the leaders in wholesale and retail in the North region, is expanding its area of operation with investments in solar power plants

Operating in the North region in the wholesale and retail segments, Grupo Nova Era is seeking to expand its area of operation by investing in sustainable energy. In the coming months, Nova Era is preparing for the inauguration of its first solar energy farm.

The solar energy sector is in constant growth, as shown by the Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy (ABSOLAR). The sector attracted significant private and governmental investments, totaling around R$ 13 billion in investments.

Initially, the Nova Era solar energy farm will generate energy for the 9 stores of Rede Barato e Pronto, one of the brands of Grupo Nova Era. Grupo Nova Era understands the importance of investing in clean energy. The use of the solar power plant is expected to generate significant savings of up to 72% for Rede Barato e Pronto.

Nova Era Believes in Investment in Clean Energy

Giovanne Amorim, expansion director of Nova Era, spoke about the company’s investment in clean energy: “Considering that this is a clean and renewable energy, the benefits become even more significant, especially when we think about the positive impact on the environment.”

Amorim also emphasized that sustainable energy is increasingly important, continuously growing and being utilized in various sectors: “The combination of economy and sustainability has gained more and more relevance in the strategy of companies, and Nova Era, as a group that has innovation in its DNA, cannot fail to follow this direction”.

He also highlighted that Grupo Nova Era’s expertise in the segments where it operates, being one of the market leaders in the North region, is essential for the success of the new investment: “The group has experienced quite consistent growth. All the brands Superatacado Nova Era, Pátio Gourmet, and Barato e Pronto have shown excellent results, which allows investments in other markets, especially in technology and innovation.”
