The Federal Institute of São Paulo opens more than 7.000 vacancies for technical courses in the first half of 2025. With opportunities in areas such as mechanics, administration and industrial automation, the IFSP offers integrated courses, concomitant and subsequent to high school.

Instituto Federal de São Paulo opens more than 300 places in technical courses: opportunities for those who want to complete high school and specialize in strategic areas such as mechanics and industrial automation

Imagine completing high school and being prepared to enter the job market with a technical qualification in hand. This is the reality that the Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP) is providing for hundreds of students in the state.

With more than 7.000 vacancies available for the first semester of 2025, the IFSP is offering a unique chance for those who want to not only complete high school, but also acquire technical skills in promising areas such as mechanics, mechatronics and industrial automation. However, most of these opportunities are located in strategic regions such as Suzano and Itaquaquecetuba, in Alto Tietê.

Technical vacancies for all student profiles at IFSP

The IFSP offers courses in three different modalities, adapted to the needs and profile of students.

  • Technicians integrated into high school: In this modality, the student simultaneously completes high school and technical courses at the IFSP, and it is mandatory to have completed elementary school by the date of enrollment.
  • Technicians concurrent with high school: The student attends technical education at IFSP, but must be enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of high school at another institution.
  • Technicians after high school: Aimed at those who have already completed secondary education and now wish to obtain a technical qualification, requiring completion of secondary education by the date of registration.

These modalities cover different areas of knowledge, offering training that combines theory and practice, preparing the student for the challenges of the job market. In Alto Tietê, for example, 320 vacancies are available distributed between the cities of Suzano and Itaquaquecetuba.

Suzano and Itaquaquecetuba stand out with opportunities in strategic areas

At the Suzano and Itaquaquecetuba units, course options are aimed at areas that are in constant demand in the market, such as mechanics, administration and industrial automation.

Em Suzano, vacancies are offered for technical courses in the following areas:

  • Concomitant or subsequent administration technician (evening) – 40 vacancies
  • Concurrent or subsequent technician in industrial automation (night shift) – 40 vacancies
  • Integrated technician in industrial automation (integral) – 40 vacancies
  • Integrated chemistry technician (integral) – 40 vacancies

Already in Itaquaquecetuba, the available courses are:

  • Concurrent or subsequent mechanics technician (night shift) – 40 vacancies
  • Integrated mechanics technician (integral) – 80 vacancies
  • Integrated mechatronics technician (afternoon) – 40 vacancies

Affirmative actions guarantee inclusion in the selection process

The IFSP also maintains an affirmative action policy to promote social inclusion. Half of the places in each course are reserved for candidates who attended primary education exclusively in public schools.

Furthermore, within this reserve of vacancies, there are also criteria that prioritize low-income candidates, those who declare themselves black, mixed race or indigenous, quilombola candidates, and people with disabilities. These criteria aim to expand access to technical and higher education for historically marginalized groups, reinforcing IFSP's commitment to equity.

Selection process focusing on technical knowledge

The selection process to enter the IFSP technical courses will take place on October 20, 2024. The tests will last three hours and will consist of 30 multiple-choice questions, covering Portuguese Language and Mathematics content.

Exam locations and times will be announced on October 17th, allowing candidates to prepare in advance. It is worth remembering that adequate preparation for this test is essential, as the content covered will be that studied from the 6th to the 9th year of elementary school, which requires a comprehensive review by candidates.

Registration open with fee exemption possibilities

Registration for the IFSP selection process is now open and continues until September 8, 2024. To participate, candidates must register exclusively through the institute's website and inform your CPF on the registration form.

The registration fee is R$50 for integrated technical courses and R$20 for concomitant or subsequent courses. However, it is possible to request exemption from this fee until August 18th, if the candidate meets the income criteria and has completed all of his primary education at a public school or with a full scholarship at a private school.

The offer of technical courses by the Federal Institute of São Paulo represents a valuable opportunity for young people who wish to train in strategic areas and enter the job market with a competitive edge.

With vacancies in several cities in the state and teaching modalities that cater to different student profiles, the IFSP consolidates itself as a reference institution in technical training in Brazil.

Will you let this chance pass you by? Take advantage of this unique opportunity and prepare for a promising future.
