The Ministry of Integration and Regional Development (MIDR) has been authorized to hire 59 professionals to act in situations of public calamity.
The hiring will be done through a simplified selection process, and the hired professionals will work in the National Secretariat for Protection and Civil Defense (Sedec). The authorization was published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Tuesday (16).
The available positions are distributed across various areas. There are 30 opportunities for Civil Engineering professionals, 5 for Meteorology, and 29 for other fields, such as Administration, Economic Sciences, Accounting Sciences, Law, Geology, Geography, Hydrology, and Statistics.

The aim of the hiring is to strengthen the response in emergency situations, especially in critical moments, such as natural disasters and other calamities.
The decision, which aims to enhance Sedec’s response capacity, is an essential measure to ensure the efficiency of protection and civil defense actions.
