Oceaneering and Pacific Drilling have signed a five-year digital services package contract to provide Pacific’s clients with better reliability and performance, enabling real-time video and data transmission. This will allow the provision of emerging services such as piloting, surveying, and automation of remote ROVs aboard Pacific Drilling’s high-specification drilling fleet.
The collaboration between Oceaneering and Pacific Drilling aims to make the “Platform of the Future” a reality today. With better and more reliable connectivity aboard Pacific Drilling’s vessels, clients can leverage data to make better and faster decisions. As a result of these efforts, Pacific Drilling’s clients can benefit from increased safety, greater access, and third-party management, as well as new and expanded digital services.
“We are very pleased to work with Pacific Drilling to make the ‘Rig of the Future’ a reality,” said Kelly McDowell, Director of Global Data Solutions at Oceaneering. “By choosing this integrated rig services package, Pacific and its clients can enhance worker transparency and safety by leveraging our cross-functional team to maximize efficiency.”
