Chu did not reach this result by chance. He had already won over 15 international and regional competitions, including the Gold Medal at the World Mathematics Invitational, the Champion title at the Macau Junior Mathematics Olympiad, and the First Prize at the Wasu International Mathematics Competition.
Even in elementary school, the student nearly achieved a perfect score in the Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics exam, demonstrating impressive consistency throughout his academic journey.

He obtained the Level 2 Junior Software Programming Certificate (C Language), awarded by the Chinese Institute of Electronics.

When commenting on his achievement, Chu expressed deep gratitude to his family and teachers. “I am very grateful to my parents, who have always supported me unconditionally,” he stated. He also made a point to thank the educators who accompanied him from an early age.
His main mentor, Dr. Yip Matthew Siu Ting — known as Prof. Mathewmatician — played a central role in preparing him for the exam. An educator from Hong Kong, he was recognized by the World Record Federation for directly assisting the student in this process.
Matthew has been with Chu since the second grade of elementary school and declared himself “extremely honored” by the young man’s success.
According to him, in addition to exceptional intelligence, Chu possesses great emotional maturity and patience to deal with complex challenges.
Focus and Humility for the Future
Even in the face of fame, Chu maintains a humble and disciplined profile. “I feel excited, but this will not make me complacent. I want to keep studying and achieve even greater accomplishments,” said the record holder.
