By the End of 2025, Beef Prices in Brazil Are Expected to Stay Stable, Driven by Internal and External Demand. Understand Market Projections and the Challenges for Fatteners in the Next Year.
Beef exports from Brazil reached a significant milestone in August 2025, recording the highest volume of external sales for the month of August in the country’s history.
According to the latest data, exports totaled 268.56 thousand metric tons, an increase of 23.5% compared to the same period in 2024, when Brazil exported 217.46 thousand tons of fresh beef.
This performance reflects not only Brazil’s production potential but also the growing global demand for beef, especially in key markets such as China, the Middle East, and other important destinations.

New world power is a country often overlooked by most, but it has 4.5 trillion m³ of natural gas, controls 90% of exports with oil, and has already replaced part of the Russian supply to Europe.
The demand for Brazilian beef continues to be driven by the quality of the product, which is recognized worldwide, and by competitive prices, especially in light of challenges faced by other major producers in the international scenario.
The Main Destination Markets
Brazil, as one of the world leaders in beef exports, continues to be the primary supplier to Asian markets, especially to China, which has been one of the largest importers of this protein in recent years.
The increase in exports in August 2025 reflects the continuation of this trend, with China standing out as the largest destination for Brazilian exports.
With tariffs affecting the North American market, Brazil has expanded its presence in new markets, as highlighted by João Figueiredo, livestock analyst at Tagro.
“We are observing a significant increase in purchases from countries such as Mexico, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to the recent approval of new plants for export to Indonesia. Brazil already exports beef to more than 120 destinations, which strengthens external sales and contributes to the stability of supply in the domestic market.”
For the last quarter of 2025, the analyst estimates that beef prices will remain stable and supported, driven by both exports and internal demand.
“With strong demand in both markets, there is no expectation of a significant drop in prices. Although fatteners are having good sales this year, they are already concerned about replacement costs for 2026. However, considering the current scenario, we do not see room for a reduction in beef prices in Brazil,” emphasizes Figueiredo.
The Brazilian beef market continues to expand, with expectations of more records in volume and value.
However, for Brazil to remain one of the leaders in exports, the country needs to continue investing in innovation, sustainability, and quality, maintaining its competitiveness in the face of global challenges.
