This Thursday (10), the Minister of the Environment, Ricardo Salles, and the Vice Governor of Minas Gerais, Paulo Brant, attended the inauguration ceremony of a sorting plant that promises to create many job opportunities in 2021.
A Sorting and Composting Plant was inaugurated in Minas Gerais, in the northern part of the state, in the municipality of Francisco Dumont, and it promises job opportunities in 2021. The inauguration ceremony of the plant took place on the morning of Thursday (10) and was attended by the Minister of the Environment, Ricardo Salles, Vice Governor of Minas Gerais, Paulo Brant, and other authorities.

Prior to the inauguration of the Plant, Minister Ricardo Salles participated in a press conference at Montes Claros airport and spoke about the federal government’s support for small municipalities in waste treatment and the rehabilitation of contaminated areas.
Codanorte Aims for More Job Opportunities and the Closure of Over 22 Open Landfills
According to the North Minas Environmental Development Consortium, the expectation is for the generation of more job opportunities in the first half of 2021, as well as the closure of over 22 open landfills.
In Francisco Dumont, the Sorting and Composting Plant was built on an area of 500 square meters along a rural road, where the city’s landfill used to operate; the opening of this Plant aims to create more job opportunities for the population.
