The Cecierj Foundation, in partnership with renowned institutions such as UERJ, UFRRJ and UNIRIO, is open for subscriptions for the free online extension course (EAD) Special Education from the Perspective of Inclusive Education, promoted through the Open University of Brazil (UAB) program. This is an incredible opportunity for training public school teachers, with a total of 15.000 vacancies available!
With a total workload of 120 hours, the free course aims to train teachers to work with excellence in inclusive pedagogical practices. Taught remotely, the activities include interactive modules, forums, case studies and continuous assessments in the virtual learning environment (VLE).
Vacancies and locations offered
There are 15.000 places available for the free online course (EAD) exclusively for basic education teachers from municipal, state and federal schools in Rio de Janeiro. The places will be randomly distributed among the participating institutions, which will also be responsible for issuing the certificates.

Selective Process
Selection will be made in order of registration, ensuring equal opportunities. Applications do not include documents proving that candidates have worked as teachers in public schools. In addition, candidates must have regular access to the Internet and basic computer skills. There are no places reserved for quotas.
Requirements for participation
Teachers from public basic education in Rio de Janeiro may apply, with documentary proof of teaching experience (pay stub or signed statement). It is necessary to have access to the internet and knowledge of navigation and use of text editors.
Selection process schedule
- Registration: December 2, 2024 to January 12, 2025
- Selection Result: January 21, 2025
- Deadline for Appeals: January 22nd and 23rd, 2025
- Publication of Final Result: January 30, 2025
- Classes Start: March 2025
- Course End Date: June 2025
