Free professional qualification initiative with monthly stipend attracts interested parties in various regions and expands access to industrial courses with a focus on labor market insertion.

With a focus on expanding access to professional qualification, the Petrobras Autonomy and Income Program, carried out in partnership with SENAI and SESI, has opened new free opportunities aimed at people in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability, including permanence stipends during training.

According to information confirmed in recent official sources, the current offer includes 1,540 vacancies, with registrations open until April 23, 2026, directed to professional qualification courses linked to industry, especially in areas related to the oil and gas sector.

Distributed across different states, the opportunities reach municipalities in Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, and Pernambuco, always in regions close to Petrobras operations or partner units of the professional education system.

Free industrial courses with a focus on employability

To ensure student retention, the program offers a monthly stipend of R$ 660 for selected participants, helping to reduce financial barriers during the technical training period.

Additionally, women with children up to 11 years old can receive R$ 858, an increased amount that aims to meet the specific needs of this public and minimize impacts related to family routine during studies.

Aimed at areas with real labor demand, the training covers essential industrial functions, aligned with current market needs and the productive operations of the energy and industrial sector.

Among the available courses are options such as boilermaking, scaffolding assembly, formwork and shoring, hydrojet operation, industrial painting, and rigger, all structured according to technical standards required by companies.

As each public notice presents its own characteristics, the complete list of courses, workload, age, and schooling requirements may vary according to the offering unit and the location chosen by the candidate.

Therefore, it is essential to consult all specific conditions beforehand before completing the registration, ensuring that the profile meets the requirements established for each training.

Program requirements and priority audience

Beyond technical qualification, the program incorporates human development activities conducted by SESI, focusing on strengthening socio-emotional competencies and preparing students for the challenges of the professional environment.

In this context, the initiative prioritizes people in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability, expanding the social reach of the project and directing opportunities to those who face greater difficulties in accessing professional education.

Special attention is also given to historically underrepresented groups, such as women, trans people, indigenous people, quilombolas, black people, brown people, migrants, refugees, and people with disabilities, according to guidelines established in the public notices.

To participate, candidates must meet the defined criteria, which include schooling requirements, minimum age, and residency in the program’s coverage areas, factors that directly influence eligibility.

It is worth noting that selection does not occur solely through registration, as each class follows its own classification rules, which may include additional validation steps and the calling of approved candidates.

Certification and impact on professional qualification

Upon completion of the training, participants receive certification according to the course modality and the norms of the responsible institution, which may vary between professional qualification courses and other training modalities.

In the analyzed public notices, there was no reliable confirmation that all courses offer a technical diploma recognized by MEC, making it necessary to specifically verify this information for each opportunity.

Another relevant point is the role of the stipend as a retention tool, as the benefit helps reduce student dropout rates among those who face difficulties in reconciling studies with basic daily expenses.

Created in 2024, the program brings together Petrobras, Federal Institutes, IFSul Support Foundation, SENAI, and SESI, forming a national network for professional training with integrated action.

According to institutional data, the total investment in the initiative exceeds R$ 350 million, reinforcing the commitment to training qualified workers and expanding access to technical education in the country.

Although the proposal is aligned with the demands of the industrial sector, participation in the program does not guarantee immediate hiring, as entry into the market depends on selection processes conducted by companies.

How to register for the Autonomia e Renda Program

To participate, registrations must be made free of charge online, through the official environment of the Petrobras Autonomia e Renda Program, where all updated information about courses and units is available.

After completing the registration, the candidate needs to carefully follow the schedule, ensuring presence in the call-up stages, document submission, and enrollment finalization within the established deadlines.

In addition to correctly filling in the requested data, it is important to review all information before final submission, avoiding inconsistencies that could compromise participation in the selection process.

As each course has its own rules, attention to the details of the public notice is essential to increase the chances of admission and ensure that all required criteria are duly met.
