Enrollment is open for the free drywall installation course in Ilha Comprida. There are 44 spots available in partnership with SENAI. Ensure your participation!

The City Hall of Ilha Comprida announced the opening of a selection process for those who wish to specialize in the construction sector. The free drywall installation course, made possible by the Social Solidarity Fund and the Municipal Division of Entrepreneurship (DIMEMP), in cooperation with SENAI, will accept registrations on April 23 and 24, 2026.

The initiative aims to provide high-quality technical training for residents who intend to enter the job market or expand their income sources through a profession in constant growth.

Registrations and spots for technical training

To secure one of the opportunities, interested individuals must go to Resolve Fácil, located at Avenida São Paulo, No. 125, in Balneário Adriana. Registration assistance is available from 8:30 AM to 12 PM and resumes from 1:30 PM to 5 PM.

It is essential that the candidate brings an official photo identification document and an updated proof of residence to complete the registration.

In total, the project offers 44 spots, which will be divided into two distinct classes to facilitate access for those who already have other activities. The training has a total workload of 48 hours, promising intensive and practical training.

According to the municipal administration, the technical support from SENAI ensures that students are prepared for the real demands of modern construction sites.

Requirements for the free drywall installation course

Unlike simple community workshops, this free course requires participants to meet specific criteria regarding education and prior experience.

The goal is to ensure that the student can keep up with the advanced technical content that will be taught.

The requirements for participation include:

  • Be at least 18 years old;
  • Have completed the 5th year of elementary school;
  • Present a certificate of improvement in the construction sector or prove prior professional experience (even if acquired informally or in daily work).

Additionally, there is an inclusion policy for people with disabilities. In these cases, the city hall emphasizes that the practical skills and abilities of the candidate will be prioritized over formal educational certification, as provided by law.

Class schedule and available shifts

Learning will take place at the Plínio Marcos Cultural Space (Annex II), located at Avenida São Paulo, No. 1,000. Classes are scheduled to occur between April 27 and May 13, 2026, with meetings held from Monday to Friday.

Students will be able to choose between two different schedules, depending on availability:

  1. Class 01: Afternoon classes from 1 PM to 5 PM.
  1. Class 02: Evening classes from 6 PM to 10 PM.

Therefore, the structure has been designed to accommodate both those who are unemployed and professionals already working in the sector who wish to specialize in the drywall system after working hours.

Impact on the local economy and development

The offering of the free drywall installation course is seen as a strategic move for the economic development of Ilha Comprida.

The use of drywall has replaced traditional masonry in various projects due to the speed and cleanliness of the process, creating a demand for qualified installers in the region.

Meanwhile, DIMEMP and the Social Fund highlight that this integrated action expands social reach, allowing the population to access free education that would be costly in private institutions.

Thus, the municipality not only qualifies citizens but also strengthens the local construction sector, preparing it for new real estate investments and residential renovations.
