It Looks Like Something Out of A Science Fiction Movie, But Oceanix Is Making It A Reality with Oceanix Busan, the World’s First Floating City Prototype Right Here in South Korea.

The Oceanix means business when it comes to innovation, especially in South Korea. With blue technology, the company is creating floating cities, perfect for living, commerce, and even marine ecosystem regeneration.

This is all adapting to rising sea levels, a major issue of our time. Thus emerges Oceanix Busan, a floating city for 4,000 people.

The project, covering an area of 6 hectares, is a true “show” of sustainability and resilience. With a capacity for 4,000 people, Oceanix Busan features platforms for living, research, and even hospitality, all with a breathtaking view of the harbor.

The Oceanix has thought of everything: renewable energy (solar, wind, marine, and wave), advanced freshwater systems, and even a zero-waste scheme that turns trash into energy and agricultural inputs.

And it doesn’t stop there: all meals are plant-based, featuring organic products from permaculture systems.

Oceanix Busan on The Global Radar

The world is already keeping an eye on Oceanix Busan. The partnership with UN-Habitat has put the project in the spotlight, showcasing that it is possible to tackle challenges like rising sea levels and the housing crisis in an innovative and sustainable way.

Oceanix Busan is more than an ambitious project; it is a sign that the future of housing may be at sea. With cutting-edge technology and a serious commitment to sustainability, this floating city is a brilliant example of how we can live in harmony with our planet.
