China Reveals Mega Projects for the Space Race, Including Manned Missions to the Moon and the Creation of a Base on Mars by 2050.

The space program of China announced new projects for the coming years, aiming to stand out in the global space race. Among the main objectives are manned missions to the Moon, the construction of a lunar base, and expeditions with astronauts to Mars. These plans demonstrate China’s intention to become a leader in space exploration and to actively participate in the space race.

In recent years, China has made significant advances in its space race. The development of the Long March 5 rocket and the launch of the modular space station are examples of this progress.

The Chang’e missions, aimed at lunar exploration, highlighted China’s potential to establish itself as one of the key players in lunar exploration.

The National Space Development Plan

China has released the “National Medium and Long-term Plan for Space Science Development (2024-2050)”, prepared by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the China National Space Administration, and the China Manned Space Agency.

This plan establishes five areas of priority research that will receive full attention in the coming years.

These areas include studies on the origin and evolution of the universe, gravitational wave detection, exploration of the Earth-Sun system, research on the habitability of other celestial bodies, and investigations in the field of biological and physical space science.

China’s space race is inherently linked to these research projects.

Stages of China’s Space Development

The plan of China is structured into three main phases. In the first phase, extending until 2027, China aims to operate its space station and conduct manned lunar explorations, as well as validate up to eight satellite missions focused on space science.

In the second phase, between 2028 and 2035, the focus will be on implementing around 15 satellite missions and building a lunar research station.

Finally, from 2036 to 2050, the plan includes conducting more than 30 space scientific missions, all linked to the country’s advancement in the space race.

With these projects, China demonstrates not only an interest in resolving fundamental questions about the universe but also a clear desire to become a global power in space exploration and theoretical physics.

With goals for the Moon and Mars, China positions itself firmly in the space race of the future.
