The Wind Energy Complex Authorized by Aneel in Piauí Has 19 Units That Will Be Distributed Among the Municipalities of Dom Inocêncio, Lagoa do Barro do Piauí, and Queimada Nova.
The Senator and National President of the Progressistas Party of Brazil, Ciro Nogueira, announced this week that the National Agency of Electric Energy, Aneel, authorized 19 wind energy generation units to start operating in Piauí. With the capacity to supply around 1.5 million households in the state, the wind complex is expected to generate over 21 thousand jobs in Piauí.

Installation of Energy Generation Units and Aneel Approval
Senator Ciro Nogueira explained how the new wind energy complex in the state will work and stated that the municipalities of Dom Inocêncio, Lagoa do Barro do Piauí, and Queimada Nova will be the first beneficiaries of the project. The installation of the new 19 energy generation units is expected to take place within the first half of 2021. The investment for this project is estimated at around R$ 1.7 billion.
