Fenasucro Will Inject About R$ 58.5 Million into the Economy of Ribeirão Preto and Region, Proving a Good Moment for Bioenergy Business
In Line with the Good Moment Experienced by the Generation Through Bioenergy, the Traditional International Sugar-Energy Technology Fair (Fenasucro & Agrocana) Holds Its 27th Edition from August 20 to 23 in Sertãozinho, São Paulo.
This year’s edition is expected to generate over R$ 4 billion in business, and the anticipated audience is about 39 thousand buyer visitors.
The fair is the largest event in the world focused on the bioenergy sector and, in addition to business, it should inject about R$ 58.5 million into the economy of the city of Ribeirão Preto and the region, as it is estimated that each visitor will spend an average of R$ 1.5 thousand during the event.
The event will take place at the Zanini Events Center in Sertãozinho.

Bioenergy as a Job Creator
It is estimated that during the 4 days of the fair, five thousand direct and indirect jobs will be created. According to data from the Sugarcane Industry Union (Unica), the sugar-energy sector has always stood out as a strong job generator and currently has about 2.4 million jobs, both direct and indirect.
According to the organizers of the bioenergy fair, the estimate is that revenue will exceed last year’s by 10%, reaching close to R$ 4.4 billion.
Representatives from 100% of Brazil’s mills and from 43 other countries, as well as over a thousand exhibiting brands presenting about three thousand products, will attend this year’s event.
The expectation of the organizers is to earn 10% more than the R$ 4 billion from last year’s edition, reaching close to R$ 4.4 billion. In 2018, financial growth was 7% compared to 2017, with an investment of R$ 200 million, reaching R$ 4 billion.
