Brazilian Flex Hybrid Pickup Promises to Combine Toro’s Price, Strada’s Size, and Up to 1,000 km of Range in a Project Scheduled for Launch in 2026, Betting on an Electric Motor with Ethanol Range Extender.
Described by the manufacturer as the first Brazilian compact flex hybrid pickup, the Lecar Campo has entered pre-sale with a promotional price of R$ 159,300, a value the company claims will hold until the end of 2025.
The model is presented as a competitor to the Fiat Toro but has the size of the Strada and bets on an electric architecture with a range extender to promise up to 1,000 km with 30 liters of ethanol.
Price and Market Positioning
Lecar promotes the Campo as a direct alternative to the Toro, with a price tag close to the entry-level versions of Fiat’s pickup.

Stellantis considers producing cars from the Chinese company Dongfeng at a factory in Brazil and may boost a new phase for compacts, pickups, and SUVs.
Although rivalry is part of the narrative, the proposal combines Toro’s price with Strada’s dimensions, a strategy aimed at those seeking more usable space than traditional compact options but not wanting to reach the size of mid-sized pickups.
Compact Pickup Dimensions

According to the released specifications, the Campo measures 4.50 m in length, 1.82 m in width, 1.60 m in height, and has a wheelbase of 2.70 m.
The body, the columns, and the ground clearance bring the model closer to the Fiat Strada, especially in the double cab versions, reinforcing its fit in the compact segment.
For reference, the Fiat Strada double cab measures 4.48 m in length, 1.73 m in width, 1.60 m in height, and has a 2.74 m wheelbase.
In this factory comparison, Lecar aims to differentiate itself through the cargo bed.
Cargo Bed and Load Capacity
According to the manufacturer, the Campo’s cargo bed has 900 liters of capacity and measures about 1.30 m in length.
The declared payload is 650 kg, a figure aligned with the segment’s standard.
In the Strada, the advertised volumetric capacity is 844 liters in the double cab versions.
Powertrain: Electric with Range Extender
The pickup uses rear electric traction with 165 hp and 26.3 kgfm.
