High voltage electric corridor between Paraná and Santa Catarina received reinforcement monitored by official agencies, with new sections in operation, strategic equipment in the National Interconnected System, and direct impact on energy transmission in northern Santa Catarina and the Itajaí Valley.
The Brazilian electric system incorporated in March 2026 two new transmission sections at 525 kV between Paraná and Santa Catarina, highlighting the Areia/Joinville Sul line, noted by the minutes of the 317th CMSE meeting with an addition of 292 kilometers.
