With Competition DNA, the Kove 800X Rally Arrives in 2025 Promising Agility, Robustness, and Extreme Performance for Off-Road Adventures
Initially presented at EICMA 2024 in Milan, alongside the Rally EX model, the Kove 800X Rally now has its arrival confirmed at dealerships. The confirmation was made during the Adventure Bike Rider Festival 2025.
With a bold proposal, the bike emerges as a strong competitor in the medium displacement adventure segment. It promises to be a benchmark in off-road, with a design inspired by the “Dakar” style.
The Asian brand does not hide its goals. Kove states that the model was designed for racing and long-distance travels, such as the Dakar Rally and the Africa Eco Race.

Direct Competition with the Ténéré 700
In the medium displacement adventure segment, the Yamaha Ténéré 700 is one of the most solid references. With a long tradition and good acceptance, the Yamaha model has dominated for years.
However, the arrival of the Kove 800X Rally promises to intensify the competition. The new competitor brings with it the experience of the Kove Rally Team and directly targets the audience seeking off-road performance.
Additionally, there is an expectation that Kove will adopt an aggressive pricing policy, making the model even more attractive. This strategy could broaden the reach of the 800X Rally and attract consumers who previously only considered the traditional market options.
Kove 800X Rally: Ready for Extreme Terrains
The structure of the Kove 800X Rally was designed to face the toughest terrains. The robust chassis receives a front suspension with a 270 mm travel and 49 mm diameter forks.
This configuration allows it to tackle large impacts with greater control. The seat height is raised, at 890 mm, positioning the rider ideally for standing riding.
Another highlight is the weight of the bike. The Kove 800X Rally weighs 7 kg less than the 800X Pro version, totaling 176 kg in running order. This reduction contributes to greater agility and ease of handling in rough terrains.
The general dimensions have also been adjusted. The ground clearance reaches 275 mm, an increase of 18 mm compared to the previous model. In length, it measures 2267 mm; in width, 810 mm; and in total height, 1395 mm.
The wheelbase exceeds 1545 mm, offering stability at high speeds even on irregular terrains.
Components Focused on Pure Off-Road
To tackle off-road challenges, the Kove 800X Rally uses 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels. The CST Ambro A3 tires, with inner tubes, reinforce the focus on trails.
Some elements have been removed or modified to prioritize off-road riding. This includes the elimination of the rear footpeg supports and the use of a high front fender.
The bike also features CNC-machined parts, such as upper and lower clamps, handlebar supports, and wheel hubs. These parts ensure durability, precision, and structural rigidity under severe conditions.
Technology Inherited from the Racing Tracks
Many components used in the Kove 800X Rally come directly from competitions. This strategy allowed the brand not only to reduce the overall weight but also to increase the rigidity and efficiency of the bike.
The Taisko braking system is an example. Developed in-house and tested at the Dakar, it offers superior performance.
At the front, the braking is done by a single lobed disc with a floating dual-piston caliper. At the rear, it maintains the wave-shaped disc, common in off-road bikes.
Powerful and Reliable Engine
The engine of the Kove 800X Rally is a 799 cc, twin-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC, with electronic fuel injection and liquid cooling. It delivers 95 hp at 9,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 8.50 kgf.m at 7,500 rpm. The top speed is electronically limited to 180 km/h.
With these specifications, the Kove 800X Rally positions itself as a high-performance option, capable of meeting the needs of both adventure enthusiasts and experienced riders. The model promises to shake up the segment in 2025, offering a robust alternative to traditional European and Japanese models.
