Banco do Brasil (BB) is carrying out studies to launch a new public tender notice. The institution is mapping the needs of each region and analyzing the budget available for the next external selection of clerks. This information was confirmed through an internal response to bank employees and published on the Qconcursos Folha Ficada portal.
Strategic and budget planning
According to Banco do Brasil, the institution is focused on identifying labor allocation needs according to the negotiating capacity of each region. Furthermore, the strategic planning results and budget is being considered to define the feasibility of the new competition. Despite progress in studies, there is still no set deadline for completing this process.
Career and vacancies in the Banco do Brasil competition
Banco do Brasil maintains a single career path for entry, that of a clerk, who can act as a commercial agent (traditional clerk) or information technology (IT) agent. For both specialties, the requirement is to have completed high school. The number of vacancies is still being defined and will be detailed in the new notice.

BB informed that it constantly monitors the progress of its competitions and communicates any relevant news to the market. Currently, there is a competition in force with approximately 1.400 classified candidates waiting to be called. The bank highlighted that studies on attraction, allocation and retention of talent are permanent agendas of People Management.
History of the last Banco do Brasil competition
The last Banco do Brasil competition held by BB, in 2022, called for more than 5 thousand successful candidates, including immediate vacancies and reserve registration. In total, 5.072 candidates were called. The vacancies were distributed between two professional profiles: commercial agent and technology agent. The Cesgranrio Foundation was the organizer of this selection, which is recognized for its tradition in BB competitions.

The initial earnings for clerks in the last competition were R$5.436,03, including base salary, food/meal allowance and food basket. In addition to attractive salaries, professionals receive various benefits, such as profit sharing, health and dental plans, private pension, daycare/nanny assistance and assistance for disabled children.
The validity period of the last Banco do Brasil competition ends in July this year. The institution can still extend the selection for another year, which would allow for more calls. However, BB has already made all calls for the position of traditional clerk, with only those approved for the role of technology agent remaining. The decision on the extension is still under analysis.
Assessment and training
The 2022 Banco do Brasil competition, organized by the Cesgranrio Foundation, included objective tests and an essay. Candidates were assessed with 70 questions on basic and specific knowledge, in addition to a dissertation-argumentative essay. The selection attracted 1,5 million candidates, highlighting its high competition due to the attractions offered by the bank.
