The National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO) announced the extension of applications for its highly anticipated public contest. According to information released in the Official Gazette of the Union on Wednesday (10), those interested in the positions at the Institute now have until February 5 to apply.
How Many Positions Are Offered in the INMETRO Public Contest?
The 300 positions offered by INMETRO represent a unique opportunity for professionals with higher education.
Of these, 100 are for immediate filling and another 200 for a reserve list.

It is important to note that, with the extension of the application period, candidates have until February 6 to pay the fee, which is set at R$ 125.
It is crucial to highlight that there will no longer be the possibility to request a fee exemption.
Applications must be made exclusively online, by registering on the website of the National Institute of Educational, Cultural, and Assistance Development (Idecan), responsible for organizing the contest.

When Will the Selection Process Exams Be Held?
The schedule states that the exams will be held on April 14, divided into two periods.
In the morning, candidates for the executive analyst positions in metrology and quality will take the exams, while in the afternoon it will be the turn of the candidates for the researcher-technologist position.
The exams will consist of 70 multiple-choice questions and an essay with a limit of up to 30 lines.
Where Will the INMETRO Public Contest Exams Be Held?
For the convenience of participants, the exams will be held in six cities: Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Salvador, Brasília, Goiânia, and Fortaleza.
During the application process, candidates will be able to choose their preferred city.
What Is the Validity of the Exam?
The validity of the contest is set at two years, counted from the homologation of the result, providing those approved with the security of a solid career opportunity at INMETRO.
