Purchase of land on the Gaucho coast strengthens the presence of the Aveiro family in Brazil and expands the connection of Cristiano Ronaldo’s relatives with real estate, tourism, and high-standard ventures in Rio Grande do Sul.
Katia Aveiro, sister of Cristiano Ronaldo, and Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, the player’s mother, bought three plots at Bravia Marina & Beach Club, a high-standard nautical condominium on the northern coast of Rio Grande do Sul.
Located on the banks of RS-407, at the access to Xangri-lá, the development is in a region that has become a focus of the Aveiro family’s business and presence in Brazil.
The acquisition strengthens the family’s relationship with Rio Grande do Sul, the state where Katia lives and maintains personal ties as she is married to the Gaucho Alexandre Bertolucci Júnior.

Luciano Hang, owner of Havan, reveals the secret everyone wanted to know: how the retailer chooses cities for new stores of up to 50,000 m², aims for 200 units in Brazil, and plans to open 7 more megastores in 2026.
Aveiro family expands business in Rio Grande do Sul
According to the website Globo Esporte, with areas between about 500 m² and 600 m², the three acquired lots are part of a high-standard condominium aimed at housing, leisure, and nautical structure.
In the development, the land prices range from R$ 600 thousand to R$ 1.5 million, while the General Sales Value of the project is estimated at R$ 410 million.
Before the purchase, Maria Dolores was in Xangri-lá on New Year’s Eve 2025 and got to know the region, which was already approaching the family’s business in the South of the country.
Besides the interest in the Gaucho coast, the Aveiro family has accumulated business moves in Gramado and has previously been linked to real estate investments in Santa Catarina.
Expected to gather more than 450 lots, Bravia Marina & Beach Club will have 70% of the units navigable, with direct access to the water in a significant part of the condominium.
The proposal combines housing, leisure, and nautical structure in a project designed to integrate canals, residential areas, and facilities aimed at recreational use.
Condominium will have an artificial beach and nautical structure

Among the main attractions of the development, the pool with an artificial beach was announced as the largest in Brazil and is part of the leisure area planned for the condominium.
The project includes 3,500 m² of water surface and more than 5,000 m² of natural sand strip, dimensions that reinforce the touristic and residential nature of the structure.
A floating pier, riverside walkway, dock, helipad, sports courts, and spaces for residents’ leisure are also planned.
With areas planned for canal circulation and integration with the water, the model seeks to leverage the nautical vocation of the region near Xangri-lá.
The development has an estimated investment of R$ 115 million in construction and materials, an amount allocated to the implementation of infrastructure and internal equipment.
The chosen area is in Maquiné, on the border with Xangri-lá, about 1.5 km from Estrada do Mar, one of the main accesses to the northern coast of Rio Grande do Sul.
Relationship with Gramado began before the investments
The family’s connection with Rio Grande do Sul gained strength in 2017, when Katia Aveiro visited Gramado, her husband’s hometown.
From this rapprochement, the businesswoman and influencer began to maintain a more constant presence in Serra Gaúcha, where she developed projects and established personal ties.
In Gramado, Katia even had a Portuguese food restaurant with items linked to Cristiano Ronaldo’s image, an initiative that reinforced the family’s public presence in the city.
Even after the establishment’s closure, the Aveiro family continued with businesses in Brazil and launched another venture in a valued area of Gramado at the beginning of 2026.
Besides her role as a businesswoman and digital influencer, Katia is also a singer and has participated in a sports event held in Rio Grande do Sul.
In 2016, she performed at the “Gigante Bowl” at Beira-Rio stadium in Porto Alegre during the final of the Gaucho American Football Championship.
Cristiano Ronaldo and the family’s investments
Cristiano Ronaldo’s name has also been associated with the Brazilian real estate market, especially in Balneário Camboriú, on the coast of Santa Catarina.
In the city of Santa Catarina, the player was a spokesperson for a construction company linked to businessmen close to the Aveiro family, who even confirmed their intention to invest in the region.
Therefore, the presence of the family members in the South of the country is not limited to the purchase of land in the nautical condominium on the coast of Rio Grande do Sul.
Among personal relationships, business in Gramado, and connections with the real estate sector, the family maintains a trajectory of gradual rapprochement with Brazil.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the youngest brother of Katia, Elma, and Hugo Aveiro, a family unit that has accompanied the international career of the Portuguese forward for decades. Their father, Dinis Aveiro, died in 2005, before the player’s phase of greater global projection.
