DOF did not disclose the financial details of the contract or the scope of work that the vessel will perform for Shell Taranaki.
In a separate statement on Tuesday, DOF announced that its Brazilian subsidiary Norskan Offshore Ltda. won a 1-year contract for the anchor Skandi Ipanema with an oil company in Brazil. The contract will start in January. The Skandi Ipanema is an AHTS (STX AH 05) built in 2010.
DOF And Petrobras
The ROVs are essential for offshore operations in oil extraction activities and there was some concern in the market regarding the fleet renewal and companies that would secure the next batch of contracts for the operations of these robots both in the pre-salt and post-salt areas. The good news is that Petrobras has signed with DOF and will maintain the current fleet stabilized.
