Compact, Electric, and Affordable, the Shineray PT1 Stands Out as a Practical Option for Urban Mobility, Dispensing with Category A Driver’s License and Offering Low Operating Costs. The Model is Aimed at Short Commutes and is Already One of the Cheapest on the Market.

The Shineray PT1 is an electric scooter developed for those seeking low-cost urban mobility without the need for a Category A driver’s license.

As it is classified as a scooter, it only requires the Permit to Operate Scooter (ACC), a document easier to obtain than the traditional National Driver’s License.

The model is compact, lightweight, and aimed at quick trips in urban areas, with a market value below R$ 7 thousand, making it one of the most affordable electric options currently available in Brazil.

Technical Specifications of the Shineray PT1

The PT1 is equipped with an electric motor of 350 W of power, capable of reaching a speed limited to 25 km/h.

The maximum range is approximately 25 km per charge, varying according to the weight of the rider, terrain, and riding style.

The charging time is estimated at 8 hours, which can be done using a regular home outlet.

The total weight of the vehicle is around 50 kg, ensuring agility in traffic and ease of transport.

On the fully digital dashboard, the rider has access to essential information, such as speed and battery level.

The model does not have a fuel tank and does not emit polluting gases, as it is 100% electric.

Structure and Urban Usability

Designed for short trips, the Shineray PT1 features a minimalist design and includes a front basket aimed at transporting light objects, such as backpacks and quick shopping.

The reduced structure and low seat height facilitate riding even for users without prior motorcycle experience.

Due to its lightweight, the motorcycle is easy to park and maneuver in tight spaces.

The combination of small wheels and thin tires reinforces its urban profile but limits its use on bumpy roads or longer journeys.

Legal Requirements for Operation

Like other scooters, the Shineray PT1 cannot be ridden without registration and licensing.

Brazilian legislation requires a specific rear license plate and the use of a helmet.

Additionally, the rider must possess the ACC, issued after a simplified course and exam, or a valid driver’s license of any category.

Although it does not require a motorcycle license (category A), the PT1 must comply with all traffic rules applicable to motor vehicles.

Price and Market Positioning

The average selling price of the Shineray PT1 is R$ 6,790, placing it among the cheapest scooters available in the country.

The low price, combined with virtually non-existent maintenance compared to combustion models, makes it an economical alternative for daily commutes.

The low operational cost also stands out: the energy consumption per charge is minimal, and the user is free from expenses with gasoline and oil.

Recommended Usage Profile

The Shineray PT1 is suitable for short trips in urban centers, such as commuting to work, college, or small purchases.

Its limited performance makes it unsuitable for longer journeys or use on fast roads, but it efficiently serves those who need a practical and cheap solution for everyday life.

With the growing interest in sustainable vehicles and lower maintenance costs, the PT1 positions itself as an entry point for electric mobility in Brazil.

Could models like the PT1 establish themselves as leaders in the transition to cleaner and more accessible urban transportation?
