Even Without Revealing the Names of Interested Nations, Embraer CEO Affirms That Negotiations With New Buyers of the KC-390 Are Advancing and the Company Seeks to Expand Its Presence in the Global Defense Sector by 2030

Embraer is in talks with up to 10 countries to expand sales of the military cargo aircraft KC-390, said CEO Francisco Gomes Neto during the BRICS Business Forum held in Rio de Janeiro. The information was revealed by Reuters following an interview with the executive, who highlighted the progress in negotiations, although he avoided disclosing the countries involved. The KC-390 has been one of the main defense products of the Brazilian manufacturer.

In recent years, the military transport aircraft has already been acquired by nations such as Portugal, Hungary, Austria, South Korea, and more recently, Lithuania, consolidating its presence in strategic markets in Europe and Asia. According to Neto, global interest in the aircraft remains high. “I can’t name names… but we are in talks with five to ten countries. That’s a lot,” he said.

In addition to international commercial expansion, Embraer aims to capture the North American market, seeking to convince the United States Air Force to adopt the KC-390. So far, the aircraft has only been taken for demonstrations in the country, with no sales finalized.

Record Revenue and New Orders Drive Projections

When commenting on the company’s results, the executive highlighted that the company achieved record revenue of US$ 6.4 billion in 2024, and projects an increase to up to US$ 7.5 billion in 2025. The long-term expectation is to reach revenue of US$ 10 billion by 2030, driven by sales in both the defense sector and the commercial aviation segment.

Embraer also reported 40% growth in deliveries in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year, and projects an additional increase of 17% by the end of this year. This improvement is related to the reorganization of the production chain, which began to distribute deliveries throughout the year, rather than just in the final months.

Recently, the company made significant agreements with airlines such as a Scandinavian one, which ordered 45 commercial jets, and a Japanese one, with 15 new aircraft ordered. Deals were also announced with Airlink in South Africa and SkyWest in the United States.

Market Confidence and Stock Performance

The CEO stated that the financial market has reacted positively to Embraer’s results. The company’s shares surpassed R$ 83 last week, reaching their highest historical value. This performance reinforces investor confidence in the company’s growth and consolidation strategy in the aerospace sector.

“We have been meeting our goals year after year,” Neto stated. According to him, the strategic plan launched in 2020 prioritized actions such as cost reduction, inventory control, focus on sales, and changes in corporate culture, which have generated solid and predictable returns.

This information was disclosed by Infomoney, based on statements made by Francisco Gomes Neto during the BRICS event. The channel also highlighted Embraer’s potential to further diversify its markets and expand its influence in the global defense industry.
