The Offshore Accommodation Specialist Prosafe Has Won a Contract for Its Flotel Safe Concordia With Equinor in Brazil.
According to the contract with Equinor, the Safe Concordia, built in 2005, will provide connected operations to support maintenance and safety services on the FPSO Peregrino, in the Campos Basin, off the coast of Brazil.
Prosafe stated that the signing of the contract was subject to certain conditions. The contract will have a duration of 120 days starting from mid-January 2020, with up to 60 days of extension options.
The Safe Concordia, Prosafe says, was a pioneer in connecting a gangway to a tower-moored FPSO, having developed the concept in 2012. The platform, supplied by Keppel, can accommodate 461 people. Previously, it was under a 200-day contract with the Japanese Modec in Brazil.
