Partnerships can mean, in addition to the diversification of activities, a return to a segment in which the Inace Shipyard has already had a successful participation
The Inace Shipyard (Indústria Naval do Ceará), headquartered in Fortaleza, recently closed two partnerships in the luxury yachts area.
One of the partnerships was closed with the design office Fernando de Almeida, specialist in this segment, aiming at the development of a completely innovative line of luxury yachts.
The other partnership aims to become the exclusive commercial representative in Brazil for the Yacht Collection, which sells the main brands in the world.
History of INACE
The Inace Shipyard has in its history the construction of more than 900 vessels in its 50 years of shipbuilding in the country and the intention is to use this experience to leverage partnerships.
The shipyard, which has already manufactured luxury yachts, specializes in other types of vessels such as pushers, tugs and military and recently built the Barca Angra dos Reis for the government of the state of Rio de Janeiro.

According to the president of Inace, Antonio Gil Bezerra, the company was once an exporter of luxury yachts, but this market was, a few years ago, severely impacted by the exchange rate variation and it became difficult to compete with a market dominated by Europe.
He added that Inace has developed in this segment and sold more than 40 yachts of up to 140 feet to different countries around the world, and that many of them now sail in the waters of Russia, Croatia and the Baltic Sea.
