Built in Quinta da Marinha and valued at around 60 million euros, the new residence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez redefines standards of the European luxury real estate market and consolidates Portugal as a high-heritage destination among international buyers.

One of Portugal’s most valuable private properties is in the final stages of construction at Quinta da Marinha, in Cascais, for Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez, estimated at 60 million euros, equivalent to more than R$ 385 million at the current exchange rate.

The property occupies a plot of about three acres facing the Atlantic Ocean, in one of the most secluded regions of the Portuguese coast, where industry experts identify one of the highest concentrations of high-standard real estate in the entire country.

With more than 54,000 square feet divided into two floors, the residence was designed with an architectural project that integrates the internal environments with the coastal landscape, featuring panoramic openings facing the Atlantic and a continuous transition between the built space and the natural surroundings.

Among the spaces planned in the project are indoor and outdoor pools, a private spa, a high-performance equipped gym, a cinema room, and landscaped gardens designed by specialized professionals, creating a complete leisure and well-being structure within the property’s limits.

The movement around the project caught the attention of European luxury real estate analysts, who see in the property a reflection of a consolidated behavior among the world’s wealthiest, marked by the search for residences with extreme privacy and a high degree of customization.

For the developer Thiago Castilho, a specialist in high-standard developments and innovative construction processes, the residence in Cascais translates a new perception of what exclusivity means within the luxury segment on a global and European scale.

“The world’s most valued properties are not just big or expensive — they carry architectural identity, integration with the surroundings, and customization impossible to replicate,” said Castilho, commenting on the trends dominating the premium real estate market in Europe’s main coastal destinations.

According to the specialist, there is currently a very clear search for properties that express permanence and convey a reserved lifestyle, characteristics that place destinations like Cascais in a privileged position compared to other European regions sought after by the same profile of international buyers.

In recent years, coastal regions of Portugal have begun to attract a growing influx of entrepreneurs, professional athletes, and foreign families interested in high-standard properties that combine quality of life, privacy, and easy access to the rest of Europe through Portuguese airports.

According to Castilho, European coastal destinations like Cascais attract international buyers due to the combination of safety, discretion, and construction quality, factors that have become decisive in the purchasing decisions of those with significant wealth seeking permanent residence outside their country of origin.

Analyst Tamara Lorenzoni points out that the residence in Cascais follows a broad cultural movement in the global premium market, linked to silent luxury, a concept that has been redefining the priorities of high-income buyers since the mid-last decade.

“What makes this property desirable is not just the financial value, but the narrative of permanence, rarity, and uniqueness built into every detail,” said Lorenzoni, highlighting that contemporary luxury distances itself from visual excess and values curation and private experience.

The specialist points out that residences like the one in Cascais function as extensions of the identity of those who inhabit them, and not just as demonstrations of wealth, which explains why architectural design and natural surroundings weigh as much as the square footage.

Lorenzoni also notes that the international luxury market is experiencing a moment of strong appreciation for properties conceived as emotional and cultural heritage, with highly demanding buyers prioritizing places that offer a sense of belonging, memory, and genuine connection with the territory.

“It’s not just about square footage or location, but about heritage, spaces that carry silence, exclusivity, and a genuine connection with the territory,” concluded Lorenzoni, when analyzing the most coveted projects in the European premium segment.

The ongoing construction in Quinta da Marinha reinforces Portugal’s prominence among high-net-worth buyers, with experts pointing out that geographic discretion, construction quality, and regulatory stability keep the country among the most attractive destinations in European luxury real estate.

The profile of the property for Ronaldo and Georgina illustrates how the concept of luxury property has changed in recent decades, moving from ostentation to landscape integration, real privacy, and a high-standard experience in a completely personalized environment.
