The Brazilian Army Is Open For Registrations For The ESA 2025 Competition. The Public Competition For High School Level Has Thousands Of Vacancies In Various Areas With Salaries Of Up To R$ 4 Thousand.

The announcement of the Brazilian Army competition for admission to the School of Sergeant Arms (ESA), in 2025, was republished this month. Published in the Official Gazette, the new version of the ESA competition has as its main change the correction of schedule dates. Starting on March 31, registrations for the public competition will remain open until May 4.

What Positions Are Open In The ESA Competition For High School Level Of The Brazilian Army?

The ESA competition offers 1,100 immediate vacancies for men and women with complete high school. Out of the total offered, 1,015 vacancies are for training in General Area. Candidates must choose among:

Communications;
Cavalry;
Topography;
Communications Maintenance;
Engineering;
Artillery;
Military Material – Mechanical Operator;
Aviation – Maintenance;
Military Material – Vehicle Maintenance;
Infantry;
Logistics;
Military Material – Weapons Maintenance;
Military Material – Armored Vehicle Maintenance.

Another 30 vacancies in the public competition of the Brazilian Army are for the Music area, in the following instruments:

Know How To Register For The ESA 2025 Competition

Registrations for the public competition of the Brazilian Army are accepted exclusively online, by filling out a form available on the ESA website. To access the page, it is necessary to have an account on the gov.br platform.

The registration fee to participate in the high school competition is R$ 95. Unfortunately, the deadline for those who plan to request a fee waiver has already passed. It is noteworthy that the ESA competition announcement still has 55 opportunities for positions in the Health area.

The objective and essay tests of the Brazilian Army public competition are scheduled to take place on September 15. The consultation of test locations will be released starting August 28. In the other phases, candidates will still have to face a health inspection, psychological exam, physical fitness exam, and practical test (for musicians only).

Approved Candidates Will Receive R$ 1,5 Thousand During Study Period

The Sergeant Formation and Graduation Course (CFGS) will last for two years. The first year takes place in one of the 13 Technological Educational Units of the Army located in:

Pirassununga (SP);
Natal (RN);
Jataí (GO);
Campo Grande (MS);
Jundiaí (SP);
Juiz de Fora (MG);
Rio de Janeiro (RJ);
Juiz de Fora (MG);
Blumenau (SC);
Alegrete (RS);
Itajubá (MG);
Fortaleza (CE);
Pouso Alegre (MG).

The activities of the second year are developed at the School of Sergeant Arms (ESA), in Três Corações (MG), at the Logistics Sergeant School (EsSLog), in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), or at the Army Aviation Instruction Center (CIAvEx), in Taubaté (SP).

During the study period, students approved in the high school competition will receive about R$ 1,5 thousand. After graduation, already as a third sergeant, the remuneration is around R$ 4 thousand, and the salary is also supplemented with additional pay.
