A farm in the shape of a guitar, built with about 7 thousand trees in the interior of Argentina, has become one of the most surprising scenes in the rural world. Known as The Guitar, the property is located in the province of Córdoba, approximately 19 km from General Levalle, and began to be developed in 1977 by Pedro Martín Ureta.

How The Guitar began to come to life
With no experience in landscaping and facing financial limitations, Pedro started the work practically from scratch. The alternative found was to count on the support of family and workers from the farm itself.
The process required organization and persistence. Each tree needed to be positioned precisely to form the design of the musical instrument.
According to the producer himself, the work was not simple. He emphasized that planting thousands of trees with such a specific goal required continuous effort and patience.

The construction of the design involved different species of trees, chosen to create contrast and give definition to the guitar.

Development time of the guitar-shaped farm
The project did not get completed quickly. The first signs of the design began to appear about five years after planting started.
However, the complete development took decades, following the natural growth of the trees until reaching the current level of definition.
Over time, the guitar-shaped farm began to attract attention beyond Argentine borders. Pilots flying over the region report surprise upon identifying the design amidst the rural landscape.
Additionally, aerial images helped to publicize the location globally, transforming it into a reference for creativity in the field.
Tourists have also started visiting the region motivated by curiosity and the story behind the property.
The legacy that keeps the farm alive
Pedro Martín Ureta dedicated his life to the development and maintenance of the farm. He closely monitored each stage of the trees’ growth and the formation of the design. In 2019, at the age of 79, he passed away. Even so, the project remained intact.
Currently, the property is still preserved by the family, maintaining not only the physical structure but also the meaning that motivated its creation.
More than a visual project, La Guitarra represents a different way of seeing the rural environment. The property shows that the countryside can go beyond traditional production, incorporating elements of expression and memory.
