More Than 450 Thousand Temporary Job Vacancies Will Be Opened at Year-End. Here’s How to Prepare Your Resume and Where to Find Opportunities!
The Brazilian job market is expected to gain significant reinforcement in the last months of 2025. According to the Brazilian Association of Temporary Work (ASSERTTEM), around 450 thousand vacancies for temporary employment will be opened in October, November, and December.
The movement is directly linked to the increase in sales during Black Friday and Christmas, when commerce, logistics, and services need to expand their workforce to meet demand.
A survey conducted by the National Confederation of Shopkeepers (CNDL) in partnership with the Credit Protection Service (SPC Brazil) indicates that 30% of business owners in the commerce and services sector intend to hire temporary workers this year-end.

How to Prepare Your Resume for Temporary Jobs
Experts warn that a well-structured resume can be the differential in securing an opportunity. According to people manager Camila Rodrigues Ferreira, it is essential for candidates to highlight experiences related to the sector, practical skills, and their adaptability.
Among the most valued points in a resume are:
Clear and direct objective, indicating availability for temporary employment;
Previous experience in similar roles;
Behavioral skills such as proactivity and teamwork;
Availability and flexibility in schedules;
References from previous employments.
According to Marco Vidal, Executive Director of Human Resources at Grupo Azzas 2154, basic information such as updated email and phone number is essential to facilitate the recruiter’s contact.
Opportunities for Those Seeking Their First Job
For those without experience, year-end is also a chance for labor market insertion.
Indeed’s sales director in Brazil, Lucas Rizzardo, states that temporary job vacancies can open doors for candidates seeking their first opportunity.
Actions such as taking free online courses, investing in extracurricular activities, and leveraging networking can increase hiring chances.
As Camila Rodrigues highlights, “proactive attitude and willingness to grow are more valued than experience.”
Where to Find Temporary Job Vacancies
Options for those seeking a position are varied. Digital platforms such as Indeed, Infojobs, LinkedIn, Catho, Vagas.com, and Glassdoor allow filtering temporary vacancies by region and area of interest.
Additionally, recruitment agencies, municipal job centers, and even in-person visits to stores can open doors.
Daniel Sakamoto, manager at CNDL, points out that cities with Chambers of Shopkeepers (CDL) often maintain specific job banks for the locality.
Job Interview: How to Stand Out
According to experts, making a good impression right from the interview is essential. Punctuality, professional demeanor, and knowledge about the company are decisive factors.
Lucas Rizzardo recommends preparing for swift selection processes: “Recruitment for temporary positions is usually quick. Candidates need to be ready for interviews and document submissions within a few days.”
Camila Ferreira adds that bringing references and demonstrating adaptability can increase the chances of winning over the employer.
Temporary Worker Rights
Despite being a short-term contract, temporary employment is regulated by Law 6.019/1974, ensuring rights similar to those of a permanent employee. These include:
Registry in the employment record;
8-hour daily workday;
FGTS and proportional vacation;
Proportional 13th salary;
Paid weekly rest;
Night shift and overtime pay, if applicable.
According to labor lawyer Márcia Cleide Ribeiro, “even if the worker is employed temporarily, this does not mean absence of rights. Brazilian legislation protects these labor relations.”

How to Turn a Temporary Job Into a Permanent Position
Many workers dream of becoming permanent after a temporary contract. For this, experts recommend dedication, proactivity, and alignment with the company’s culture.
Marco Vidal reminds us that, even without guaranteed permanence, temporary workers can stand out: “Often, the temporary position is the chance needed to showcase your potential. Effort and determination are decisive factors.”
