SMS Specialist

Rio de Janeiro, RJ

Some of the relevant activities for the position:

Develop awareness among managers and ensure that SMS is an integral part of Line Management responsibilities and objectives.

Assist Line Management in:

– Understanding and Implementing the SMS Management System.
– Monitoring SMS objectives.
– Engaging with local contractors and agencies regarding SMS.
– Assessing local risks.
– Preparing and monitoring SMS plans that define how the SMS Management System is implemented at the local level.
– Monitoring compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.

Advising management on necessary corrective actions. Coordinating and actively participating in the SMS screening and training of all personnel, including contractors. Keeping up to date with any new SMS-related documentation and training materials and properly informing management. Ensuring that relevant SMS documentation is updated and available on-site, among others.
