Alpargatas confirmed in November 2024 that 62 temporary positions were opened to reinforce the operations of Havaianas stores during the end of year period. As this phase concentrates the highest annual flow, the company decided to start hiring between the end of November and early December, as this interval coincides with the progressive increase in demand at physical stores in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Thus, the professionals will work for up to 45 days, as the brand needs to expand its teams to meet the intense Christmas shopping traffic, as stated by Alpargatas itself.

Temporary Positions in São Paulo

Havaianas announced that 37 temporary positions are available in the capital, as the stores located in important commercial centers experience increasing traffic at the end of the year. In this way, the company distributed the opportunities between shopping centers and the traditional Concept Store on Oscar Freire, which records a high volume of visitors every year, according to routine operational information.

Thus, the positions were directed exclusively to the Concept Stores in Ipanema and Shopping Leblon, which concentrate a large volume of tourists and commercial activity during this time, according to internal data released by the company.

Furthermore, the company reported that the contracts will last for 30 days, although the Concept Store in Ipanema uses contracts of 45 days, as this unit receives a higher flow of visitors in December, according to Alpargatas itself.
