The PCX comes equipped with a 156 cm³ OHC engine with eSP+ technology. This engine is capable of delivering 16 horsepower and 1.5 kgf.m of torque.

The engine also features the ACG system, where the starter motor also acts as a generator. Thus, efficiency and innovation come together in one unit.

Thanks to this solution, the model features Idling Stop. The technology shuts off the engine during stops longer than three seconds and restarts it when the throttle is engaged.

In the PCX 160 DLX ABS and PCX 160 ABS versions, Honda added disc brakes on both wheels. Additionally, it introduced a 1-channel ABS system.

In the entry-level version, the PCX 160 CBS, the Combined Brake System ensures efficiency by combining a front disc with a rear drum. Thus, braking becomes more balanced.
