Hyundai's new SUV hits the Indian automotive market and is expected to enter Brazil in 2025. Find out what has changed in the new 7-seater Hyundai Creta that now delivers 160 hp.

Hyundai is preparing to launch the new version of the 7-seater Hyundai Creta in Brazil, which was spotted testing in the country and has just been launched in India, where it is called Alcazar. The Hyundai SUV is now on sale there from the equivalent of R$ 100.149 in a simple conversion, according to the Autocar India website, with a petrol engine and manual transmission, which will not be offered here.

Anyway, the 7-seater Hyundai Creta arrives in automotive market Indian in four trim versions, namely Executive, Prestige, Platinum and Signature and with several changes in design, which includes restyling both at the front and at the rear, which now have a more modern and less controversial appearance than the current one.

The visual makeover also includes the use of new 18-inch wheels and metal roof rails to help carry luggage. Silver-painted bumpers and new LED headlights and taillights are also part of the new design of the SUV, which is expected to compete with the Jeep Commander in Brazil, which also has 7 seats.

Understand what changes in Hyundai's new SUV

The most important updates are to the second-row seats. The 7-seater Hyundai Creta continues to be available in 6- and 7-seater configurations, and in the first row, the Hyundai has removed the fixed center console that was placed between the seats in the older model. This frees up more space between the seats, as they now have individual armrests and you can easily walk to the third row from the second.

The second-row seats of the 7-seater Hyundai Creta now also feature extendable thigh support, ventilation and a ‘boss mode’ feature where the front passenger seat can be operated from the rear to open up more space. Additionally, there are rear sunshades and fold-out tables.

A big addition on the safety front is the inclusion of ADAS. Other equipment highlights include a voice-activated panoramic sunroof, power front seats, leatherette upholstery, a Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers, sequential turn signals, and a 360-degree camera among the key features.

Hyundai SUV delivers up to 160 horsepower

A Hyundai should keep the current 1.0 turboflex engine and may adopt the new 1.6 turbo, which produces around 160 hp, that already exists in the Indian market. This means that the 2.0-horsepower 167-liter naturally aspirated engine will be discontinued, as it will not meet the new emissions standards that will come into effect from January 1, 2025. Here it will never be sold for that price. So this ad call is quite dishonest.

Assuming that there is 50% of the “partner” (federal government) here, I imagine it must be something close to 200 thousand reais…

I believe it will be much more, we must consider whether the manufacturing will be done here in Brazil, if not, it will easily exceed 300 thousand, if the 2024 version is in the trifle of 150 thousand…

He left a note that the price excludes Brazilian taxes, which means that 40% to 60% more is added above the advertised price. Best regards

It should be made clear at the beginning of the article, citing the place where the price is, dishonest advertising!
