The Positions Offered by the New Capes Contest Will Be for Analysts and the Initial Salary Is R$ 6,875.47 with a Meal Voucher of R$ 658!

The Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes) is moving forward with the process of conducting a new public contest, authorized in June of this year. With 50 positions designated for the analyst in science and technology role, the examination promises to attract professionals with higher education looking for an opportunity in the field. The official announcement is still awaited.

The organizing committee chosen to conduct the contest is the Brazilian Center for Research in Evaluation and Selection and Promotion of Events (Cebraspe). The selection of the committee followed the criterion of exemption from bidding, as published in the Official Gazette of the Union on November 22.

The expectation now rests on the signing of the contract, which will allow for the precise date of the official announcement publication to be defined. According to information from the Ministry of Management, the announcement should be released by December 13.

Requirements to Participate in the Capes Contest and the Last Contest Held

Those interested in competing for the possible 50 positions of analyst in science and technology detailed in the announcement must have a higher education qualification. The initial salary for the position is R$ 6,875.47, with the addition of a meal allowance of R$ 658.

The bidding exemption extract, published by the Management Directorate of Capes, highlights the hiring of Cebraspe for the organization, planning and execution of the contest. The exemption followed Article 24, Item XIII of Law No. 8,666/93, supported by guidance from the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU).

The President of Capes, Mercedes Maria da Cunha Bustamante, confirmed the exemption on November 20, 2023, with a total value of R$ 883,858.75 designated for the hiring of Cebraspe.

It is worth noting that the last contest held by Capes took place in 2012, offering 140 positions for high school and higher education roles. At that time, Cebraspe was also the organizing committee.

The 70 positions for high school were aimed at the role of assistant in science and technology, with a requirement of one year of experience in the field. The 70 higher education positions were for the role of junior analyst in science and technology, covering areas such as archiving, library science, accounting, and general areas, each with specific requirements.

The objective test of the last contest featured 120 questions, divided between basic knowledge (50 questions) and specific knowledge (70 questions).

With the definition of the organizing committee, candidates are eagerly awaiting the publication of the official announcement, marking another step on the path to the 50 positions of analyst in science and technology at Capes.

Official Announcement Coming Soon!

Even without an official announcement published, those interested in competing for the positions offered by the Capes contest can begin to prepare so as not to overwhelm themselves close to the exams.
