The Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC) announced the opening of a new public contest. In total, IFSC published two notices in the Federal Official Gazette and offers 28 vacancies in medium, technical, and higher-level positions in the careers of Administrative Technician in Education and also for Teachers in Basic, Technical, and Technological Education.

In the federal institute contest, the position of Administrative Technician has 19 vacancies distributed among the positions of Administrative Assistant (13), Laboratory Technician – Area: Electro-electronics (1), Laboratory Technician – Area: Automation (1), Information Technology Technician (1), Laboratory Technician – Area: Clothing (1). The salaries for those approved in the public contest range from R$ 2,667.19 to R$ 4,556.92.

Stages of the Selection Process for the Federal Institute Public Contest

The federal institute contest will consist of an Objective Test for all positions, a practical test for candidates who qualify in the objective test for the positions of Information Technology Technician, Laboratory Technician – Area: Automation, Laboratory Technician – Area: Electro-electronics, and Laboratory Technician – Area: Clothing.

There will also be a didactic performance test, of an eliminatory and classificatory nature, for candidates classified in the objective test for the positions of Professor and Title Test, for candidates approved in the didactic performance test for the positions of Professor.

The objective test of the public contest will be held on September 8, in the municipalities of Chapecó, Florianópolis, Joinville, Lages, Palhoça, and São José, in locations and times to be announced on August 29 on the contest website. The test was distributed as follows:

Administrative Technicians

05 questions of Portuguese;
30 questions of specific knowledge;
10 questions of legislation and historical context of professional, scientific, and technological education;
05 questions of logical reasoning.

Teachers

05 questions of Portuguese;
10 questions of legislation and historical context of professional, scientific, and technological education;
30 questions of specific knowledge;
05 questions of pedagogical knowledge.

Registrations and Fees to Participate in the Federal Institute Contest

Registrations for the Federal Institute contest must be made between June 28 and August 7, 2024, exclusively online, through the Fundatec website, the organizing bank of the process.

The registration fee is R$ 150 for medium and technical level positions, R$ 200 for the higher-level position in the administrative area, and R$ 250 for Teachers.

The preliminary answer key and the question booklet for the objective test will be released on September 9, and the results will be announced on October 11 by Fundatec. The validity of the Federal Institute contest for calling approved candidates will be two years, counting from the date of homologation, and may be extended for an equal period by the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Santa Catarina.
