Glantz also reported that many people questioned why he did not lie on the ground like the other guests. The first explanation was a back problem, which would prevent him from making that movement.
The second reason involved hygiene. He said he is obsessed with cleanliness and would not accept dirtying his new tuxedo on the floor of the Hilton, which he described as filthy, even during the chaos caused by the gunfire.
“Many people said: ‘Why didn’t you lie on the ground? Everyone at your table and in your room was on the ground.’ First, I have a back problem. I couldn’t lie on the ground. And second: I am obsessed with hygiene. No way I was going to wear my new tuxedo on that filthy floor of the Hilton. Not a chance!“, he concluded.
Authorities removed from the hall
After the sound of gunfire, Trump and authorities left the hall immediately. Vice President J.D. Vance, First Lady Melania Trump, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio exited safely, all under escort.

Suspect arrested in the hotel
