The new Nissan X-Trail arrives in Brazil with the promise of revolutionizing the market: the robust SUV delivers up to 204 hp of power and challenges its competitors with impressive technology and performance.

Nissan is finally making moves and bringing a lot of new things to Brazil. The automaker's new car, which has already been confirmed for the country, is the new Nissan X-Trail, a mid-size SUV that arrives with everything to oust major models currently available on the market such as Jeep Compass, BYD SongPlus and GWM H6.

New Nissan X-Trail design impresses enthusiasts

The new generation of the Nissan X-Trail, which like the new Sentra, was introduced in 2020 in the United States, has now just received a restyling and it is with this look that it arrives here. Nissan's new SUV is positioned above the kicks and delivers a lot of luxury, technology and safety, in addition to being one of the most efficient cars in the entire category today.

In terms of dimensions, the new Nissan car is very close to a RAV4 and is 4,66 m long, 2,70 m wheelbase, 1,84 m wide, 1,72 m high, weighing up to 1636 kg and ccarrying an excellent 500 L of luggage in the trunk.

Its appearance is somewhat reminiscent of the new Sentra, but the new Nissan X-trail is a bit more sophisticated. At the front, the grille has now been redesigned and we have chrome horizontal bars or they can also come in Black Piano. The bumper has a gray applique and the divided optical set is full LED.

On the sides, the new Nissan SUV features chrome trim, an aluminum roof rack, two-tone paintwork, and wheels up to 19 inches with a diamond finish for the more expensive versions. Moving on to the rear, the X-Trail offers an integrated spoiler, a gray applique at the base of the bumper, and full LED taillights.

Nissan's new SUV delivers up to 204 horsepower

Speaking of engines, the new Nissan car offers two options for the North American market. One of them is a 2.5 naturally aspirated engine and the other is a 2.5 hybrid engine, but neither of them will be available in Brazil. After all, the engine that will equip the new Nissan X-Trail here is the recently launched E-Power engine in Japan, which will also be available in the Mexican model.

The set consists of the 1.5 Turbo block with direct injection of gasoline fuel, associated with another electric motor. Adding everything up, we have around 204 horsepower and the combined torque is 33,6 kgfm.

In the E-power system, the combustion engine basically works as a power generator for the electric motor and its batteries. Therefore, the Nissan SUV runs practically only on an electric set. Although the power figures revealed by Nissan are modest, the car must certainly have well over 260 horsepower, after all, its performance is impressive.

What equipment does the new Nissan X-Trail offer?

Inside, Nissan's sophisticated new car comes with a jaw-dropping soft-touch finish on the doors and dashboard, as well as leather inserts all around. The interior space is excellent, accommodating five adults and two more children in the third row of seats.

Speaking a little about equipment, the new Nissan SUV is complete and features a Bose premium sound system, proximity key, electric trunk opening and closing with proximity sensor, joystick-style gear lever, electronic parking brake, start stop, Auto Hold, induction cell phone charging, traction selector on the console, panoramic sunroof, front seats with electric adjustments, heating and memory for the driver's seat, and much more.

Beautiful car, I'm interested in buying one of these, with a naturally aspirated engine.

When I bought my KIKIS, I could see the surprise it caused me, therefore, I hope to continue in the same line as I already had a SENTRA that I still miss.

It looks like a shopping mall SUV. With that skirt in front it won't even reach my farm. I miss the old X Trail!
