Odebrecht takes another important step in its commitment to acting ethically, with integrity and transparency. On July 31, Odebrecht SA, together with other Group companies, signed the “Commitment Letter of the Business Movement for Integrity and Transparency”, an initiative led by the Ethos Institute in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact and Transparency International.
The purpose of the agreement is to engage business leaders in the integrity agenda, with a special focus on improving public-private relations and strengthening the prevention and fight against corruption in Brazil. In the Charter, companies assume seven broad commitments to achieve a culture of integrity in their operating environments and propose a set of actions under the responsibility of the Public Power in the three spheres of the federation.

“The signature marks the engagement of the companies with an agenda of accomplishments and monitoring of the evolution of the results related to the commitments assumed”, explains Sérgio Leão, responsible for Sustainability at Odebrecht SA In addition to Odebrecht SA, Atvos, Braskem, Ocyan, Odebrecht signed the Letter Engineering & Construction and OR. Another 35 companies operating in Brazil, in various sectors, also signed the commitment.
