A mysterious light was spotted at 6 AM on Friday in southern Australia, generating speculations about UFOs, following the launch of the Ariane 6 rocket at 3:15 AM, which was carrying 32 Amazon satellites from French Guiana.

Mysterious Light Intrigues Residents

The mysterious light appeared as two beams of light spinning together while moving across the morning sky. The phenomenon was recorded in Strathalbyn, Seaview, and Largs Bay.

Residents reported that the beams moved randomly, forming an intense brightness that attracted attention in different parts of the state.

Speculations And Theories On Social Media

The sighting triggered a storm on social media. Theories included extraterrestrial visitors, spy aircraft, and even a pigeon wearing a luminous vest.

A 2023 survey revealed that one-third of Australians believe that extraterrestrial beings have made contact with Earth. Some claimed that the recent mystery would be another visit.

“It’s definitely a UFO,” wrote one person. Another commented: “Get ready for an extraterrestrial encounter.”

Experts Point To The Launch Of The Ariane 6

Experts who analyzed the images said that the mysterious light was likely a result of exhaust gases from the Ariane 6 rocket.

The launch took place at the European Spaceport in French Guiana, about three hours before the sightings in South Australia.

The rocket lifted off at 3:15 AM Adelaide time, carrying 32 satellites for the Amazon constellation.

Official Statement On The Launch

French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted: “Amazon, your order has been delivered.”

He stated that the Ariane 6 launched for the first time with four booster rockets, becoming the most powerful European launcher.

According to him, this is a French achievement and a European success, marking new milestones for the space program.

Despite initial speculations and online buzz, experts indicated that the most likely explanation for the mysterious light in the Australian sky is related to the space launch that occurred hours earlier.
