Details of the Librarian Position

The SESC Librarian will be responsible for supervising library units, managing physical and digital collections, and implementing cultural projects and reading encouragement initiatives. The position requires skills in organization, planning, and leadership, as well as practical experience in the field.

Main Responsibilities

Manage and update physical and digital collections, ensuring accessibility and efficiency in storage.
Plan and execute cultural projects and activities to encourage reading.
Supervise teams and ensure alignment with institutional policies.
Perform cataloging, classification, and conservation of collections.
Provide support in research and inquiries, promoting an enriching experience for users.
Monitor goals and consolidate monthly and annual reports.

Requirements for the Position

Education: Completed Higher Education in Library Science, with active registration in CRB.
Experience: Proven experience in organizing collections, library management, and team leadership.
Courses: Reading Mediation, Storytelling, and Management of Digital Collections.
Skills: Planning, assertive communication, teamwork, and leadership.
