Updates and Design
Launched in April 2025, the 2026 line of Cronos received visual modifications inspired by the European hatch Grande Panda.
The front gained a grille with vertical slats and a redesigned bumper with straighter lines.
The headlights now feature daytime running lights (DRL) in LED, and the Precision version now adopts full LED lighting.
The alloy wheels and hubcaps have also been redesigned.
The rear maintains the previous design, but the assembly received small visual updates.
Internally, the model now includes darkened finishes and a black headliner, as well as a multimedia system with wireless mirroring for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Precision version now comes with side airbags as standard, reinforcing the safety package.
Mechanics and Consumption

The Cronos Drive 1.3 is equipped with a 1.3 Firefly flex four-cylinder aspirated engine, which produces 107 hp with ethanol and 98 hp with gasoline, with 13.7 kgfm and 13.2 kgfm of torque, respectively.
The transmission is manual with five gears, and the drivetrain is front-wheel drive.
According to Inmetro, the sedan registers 12.8 km/l in the city and 15.5 km/l on the highway with gasoline, and 9.0 km/l and 10.9 km/l with ethanol.
The performance published by the manufacturer points to acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.5 seconds and a top speed of 183 km/h.
In urban use, tests conducted by specialized publications indicate that the engine provides sufficient torque at low revs, favoring drivability in traffic.
In climbing conditions or with the vehicle loaded, the engine tends to require gear reductions, as reported in these same tests.
Comfort and Dynamics
The Cronos structure maintains McPherson front suspension and torsion axle in the rear, with ventilated disc brakes in the front and drums in the rear.
Technical evaluations point out that the assembly focuses on comfort, efficiently filtering ground irregularities and ensuring stability compatible with the segment.
The ground clearance is 15.8 cm and the curb weight is 1,139 kg.
Space and Practicality
The Cronos measures 4.364 m in length and has 2.521 m in wheelbase, dimensions that allow for good internal space utilization for four occupants.
The 525-liter trunk, according to Fiat, is one of the largest among compact sedans and exceeds that of some mid-sized models.
The fuel tank has a capacity of 48 liters, and the consumption on long trips is considered competitive for the car’s size, according to official data.
Equipment and Standard Items

Among the main standard items of the Cronos Drive 1.3 manual are progressive electric steering, air conditioning with pollen filter, rear parking sensor with visual alert, power windows on all four doors with one-touch function, automatic power locks, multi-functional steering wheel with sound and phone controls, tire pressure monitoring (iTPMS), and Isofix system for child seats.
The 7-inch Uconnect multimedia center includes Bluetooth, two USB ports, and voice recognition.
The model also features LED DRL, emergency lights (ESS), and Follow Me Home function.
Internal production codes, such as “ALOCACAO BRASIL” and “OPT. CONTROL 1”, do not correspond to standard items and were disregarded.
Safety
The Drive 1.3 manual version includes two front airbags, stability and traction controls, hill-start assist (Hill Holder), and ABS brakes with EBD.
The side airbags are exclusive to the Precision, the top of the line in the range.
According to industry experts, the absence of these items in intermediate configurations is a notable difference compared to some competitors that already offer side protection in lower-priced versions.
Versions and Prices
The Fiat Cronos 2026 lineup consists of four options:
Drive 1.0 MT – R$ 106,990
Drive 1.3 MT – R$ 112,490

S-Design Package: What Changes

The S-Design package, offered for the Cronos Drive 1.3, costs R$ 4,090 and adds digital air conditioning, cruise control, seats with exclusive upholstery, rearview camera, LED fog lights, keyless entry with push-button start, electric mirrors with tilt-down, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and 15-inch alloy wheels.
According to consulted dealerships, the final price with this package and metallic paint can reach R$ 118,570.
Fiat states that the set was created to add comfort and convenience equipment without altering the mechanical assembly of the sedan.
Market Position
Focusing on efficiency and maintenance costs, the Cronos Drive 1.3 manual seeks to attract consumers who prioritize economy and space, characteristics also valued by ride-hailing drivers.
Automotive industry experts note that the model competes in a segment that has been shrinking in Brazil, but still maintains good demand among customers who do not wish to transition to compact SUVs.
Comparison with the Pulse and Rivals
In comparison with the Fiat Pulse Drive, the brand’s entry-level SUV, the Cronos offers a larger trunk and lower highway consumption, according to official measurements.
The Pulse, on the other hand, has a higher ground clearance and higher driving position, attributes associated with urban use on uneven roads.
Among direct competitors, Onix Plus, HB20S, and Yaris Sedan stand out for offering more engine options and expanded safety packages.
Still, the Cronos remains competitive in initial price and energy efficiency, factors that continue to be decisive for part of the consumer public.
Based on this scenario, the Fiat Cronos 1.3 manual is expected to remain one of the most affordable alternatives among compact sedans with manual transmission and good luggage space.

Só faltou ter uma versão com 6 marchas . Aí sim acabava com o Onix plus.
