First Shopping Center in the Western Region of Bahia Will Have Million-Dollar Investment, Heavyweight Brands Such as Renner, Riachuelo and Burger King and Promises to Generate 1,200 Direct and Indirect Jobs in the Local Economy
The Shopping Parque Oeste, first shopping center in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, Bahia, is scheduled to open in September 2026. The enterprise, which has an estimated investment of R$ 120 million, is being built on a plot of 60,000 square meters, with over 30,000 square meters of built area.
With 140 stores and more than 800 parking spaces, the shopping center will have confirmed anchors such as Renner, Riachuelo, Smart Fit, Burger King, and the Cineplex cinema chain. According to the creators, the space will be focused on fashion, gastronomy, leisure, and well-being, offering a mix of recognized brands and different consumer experiences.

Management and Investments
The management will be under the responsibility of NIAD Shopping Centers, a company that also manages projects in states like Espírito Santo, Goiás, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, and the Federal District. The company’s operations director, Ulisses Silva, stated that more than half of the stores already have signed contracts.
According to estimates, the shopping center is expected to generate around 1,200 direct and indirect jobs and move approximately R$ 200 million per year in the regional economy. This information was reported by Correio 24 horas, which highlighted the importance of the project for the city.
Why Luís Eduardo Magalhães?
The choice of the city as the site of the project is linked to its economic growth. With an estimated population of 108,000 inhabitants, the municipality ranks fifth in the GDP ranking of Bahia and sixth in GDP per capita.
In addition to local residents, about 40% of visitors are expected to come from neighboring cities, reinforcing the role of Luís Eduardo Magalhães as a regional hub for commerce and services in western Bahia.
