Stellantis Unveils Its Latest Creation: The New STLA Frame Platform with Combustion Engine, Designed Specifically for Full-Size Pickups and SUVs.
The new STLA Frame platform with combustion engine was conceived to meet the demands of robust and multifunctional vehicles. According to Stellantis, the chassis can support internal combustion, hybrid, battery electric (BEV), hydrogen-powered, and extended-range electric (EREV) powertrains.
For electric models, the STLA Frame delivers an impressive 800 km of range. For vehicles with EREV technology, this range reaches 1,100 km, making it an attractive choice for both sustainability-minded consumers and those needing extra range for long journeys.
The payload capacity is impressive: 1,225 kg for transport and up to 6,350 kg of towing capacity. The independent suspension system on all four wheels and the 400V and 800V electrical systems reinforce the company’s commitment to providing robust and technologically advanced vehicles.

Brazil on the STLA Frame Route
And what about Brazilian consumers? The new STLA Frame platform with combustion engine will arrive in the country, albeit indirectly. The Ram 1500 REV models and possibly a Jeep SUV will be imported from the USA, allowing the local market to experience Stellantis innovation.
With this strategy, the company shows it is ready to meet various market demands, balancing tradition and cutting-edge technology, whether with combustion or electric engines.
Innovation and Commitment to the Future
The new STLA Frame platform with combustion engine is not just a technical evolution; it is also a milestone in Stellantis’ positioning as a leader in mobility solutions.
By combining range, payload capacity, and powertrain flexibility, this new platform reinforces the company’s commitment to providing vehicles that meet the real needs of consumers, whether in North America or in global markets like Brazil.
This platform is proof that the future of SUVs and pickups is closer than we think, and Stellantis is at the forefront of this transformation.
